Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person tactical shooter and the sixth entry in the popular Call of Duty series. True to its name and following the lead of its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it places players in modern combat settings, as opposed to the WWII environments of the earlier Call of Duty games. This modern approach brings with it new weapons, action and options. Coupled with a variety of gameplay modes including single player, multiplayer and the co-op Special Ops Mode, it is destined to be one of the most popular games of 2009 and a worthy addition to the Call of Duty series.

Alright, if you saw my review of CoD 4, then you know that I really didn't like it all that much. Well, I didn't have high expectations for this game, so I wasn't planning on buying it, but then my friend let me borrow, but since he did that, I don't even need the disc to play the game anymore, so basically I got a hold of this game without even paying for it. So, yay! Anyways, after playing this game for a while, I can honestly say that this game is actually good! It's a huge improvement over CoD 4. Well, at least campaign wise, the multiplayer still needs work.
The game starts off a lot like CoD 4. Now, they really want you to look down the barrel of your gun. Yea, thanks for telling us to do what we always did through out the entire series. Seriously though. They gave me that one training course to do, and when I wasn't shooting while aiming, even though I was close enough to the target that I didn't have to carefully aim, the guy still screamed at me "AIM WITH YOUR SIGHT SERGEANT". Jeez, you'd think they would know what I was doing.
Anyways, I actually tried something new this time and played the game on veteran. I tried that on CoD 4, but the game was incredibly frustrating. I'm not even sure if a lot of people beat the game like that, unless they like to torture themselves with bad gameplay design. All the enemies would constantly respawn and throw grenades at you. Not only that, but you were THE ONLY GUY THEY WOULD EVER SHOOT AT! The good thing though, is that MW2 is the first Call of Duty that actually fixes its problems that the previous games did. About time to, because this is only like their seventh game in the series, and they're only now just fixing problems. With that said though, MW2 is a huge improvement not only over CoD 4, but also the previous games as well.
